Ok, I will have to say that photographing babies at this age 10 months can be difficult at some times. Not only did we have to content with potential bad weather we had to hope that she did experience the separation anxiety and the session taking 3 hours;o) She did awesome and never missed a smile. She did so well I think we did the entire photography session in about 30 minutes. At this age and up I like to keep things simple with great lighting and bring out the personality of the child.

I’ve found in my 8 plus years in photographing infants, babies and children you are on their time schedule. Nothing I love better is when a mother brings a baby or child in for photography and they say oh this is going to be a tough one or she is very shy and I’m not sure how its going to go? That is the reason I love to photograph children. Although they think they are scared or shy or introverted…they all react to simple nurturing. I’ve maybe had to reschedule less than 6 sessions in the time I’ve been photographing children and most of those times the child was either sick or just having a bad day;o( I love children and love to photograph them. I sometimes think I get as much joy photographing their child as the parents do. Not only are adults put on this earth to help each other so are these little ones. And their is no better compliment than to hear a parent say that sure is my child in those photographs.

Photography for children over the age of two has become not so important to everyone. I believe that photography for children should not stop at one and consider school pictures ok. Kids are meant to be remembered and cherished and photographed as they are so when they are gone you can remember them always during the best years of their life. I go to great lengths to capture the heart and soul of your child not just a cookie cutter photograph. My passion is to bond with your child. I couldn’t tell you how many times mothers tell me that their child enjoyed their photography session and they can’t wait to come back and see Mr. Paul. Bottom line I have a huge love for children and I never get tired of capturing their sweet faces. I’m actually photographing 45 preschoolers tomorrow and 45 on Thursday for my church and I can’t wait. People think I’m crazy but working with children is such a blessing. I believe they are the closest thing we see here on earth to God. I know sometimes we don’t see that but we do get glimpses of that and we would lay down our lives for them. I know that I get great satisfaction of watching your children grow up and be a part of their journey to adulthood. They always bring smiles to my face and often lift my spirits as I edit their photographs.
